30 May AVE Professional Home Automation extends energy monitoring to three-phase systems
AVE continues to advance in the field of energy management by evolving its AVEbus system, which now supports monitoring and control of three-phase electrical installations. This upgrade makes the solution even more versatile and suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
With the latest update of the 53ABC3S Load Control Device, which now supports three-phase systems, the AVEbus energy monitoring system becomes even more complete and high-performing. This development is part of a broader vision aimed at providing advanced tools to promote greater awareness and responsible use of electrical energy.
According to research conducted at the University of Oxford*, energy monitoring can help reduce electricity consumption by 10% to 15%, especially when combined with motivational strategies such as gamification or social comparison. These elements help foster more sustainable and energy-efficient behaviour.
A complete range for energy monitoring
The AVE proposal for AVEbus energy monitoring includes a full lineup of smart devices:
- 53ABC3S – AVEbus Single/Three-Phase Load Control Device
- 53ABM3S – AVEbus Single/Three-Phase Power Meter
- 53ABR1S – AVEbus DIN Rail Relay with Current Sensor
- 44xABR1S – AVEbus Current Sensor Relay, S44 Series
The system enables real-time supervision, control, and measurement of energy consumption. Thanks to direct feedback, end users can clearly understand how their behavior impacts energy use, promoting more informed and efficient choices. Additionally, the system offers indirect feedback via hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly monitoring of controlled loads, enabling comparisons with historical data or external benchmarks, such as national averages.
Enhanced efficiency for three-phase applications
Thanks to its recent upgrade, the 53ABC3S single/three-phase load control device opens the door to advanced building energy management. Enhanced features now include blackout prevention and optimization of self-produced energy.
The integration of three-phase system support significantly broadens the application scope of the AVEbus platform, making it an ideal solution not only for residential contexts but also for professional environments, where load distribution across multiple phases is a standard requirement.
This new functionality further strengthens the AVEbus energy monitoring system, positioning it as a strategic technology for increasing energy efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting the transition toward a smarter and more sustainable energy model.
